    Asharqia chamber CEO: the forum is conducted in the best possible time
    Eastern region governor will sponsor "development projects, realities, and aspirations."  Forum today
     
     The crown prince, Saud bin Nayef, the Eastern region governor will sponsor "development projects, realities, and aspirations."  From, which will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Asharqia Chamber main offices in Dammam. Abdul Rahman Al-Otaishan, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, explained that this forum is a one-day forum, which aims to support the role of the private sector in contributing to the development of the region. Moreover, it aims to encourage the programs and events that contribute to developing the resources and economic means and to enforce the development role of them in the region. The forums also aim to attract more investments to the region as part of the kingdom's development plans.
     
    Al-Otaishan mentioned that the forum aimed to focus on some strategic goals. On top of which is the importance of development projects and its role in the economic development. Also, to review the most prominent and successful experiences of companies that have introduced successful projects, as well as to review the best means and to overcome any future problems. He mentioned that the kingdom of Saudi Arabia was witnessing massive development projects all over the country. These projects are part of the ninth development plan, which is supposed to be carried in 2012-2014. The assigned budget for this plan was approximately 2 trillion riyal.  Many of the established projects include infrastructure, service, and sector production projects.  He asserted that Abdullatif bin Abulamlik Alshaikh, the minister of the of municipal and rural affairs would be a key speaker at the forum.
     
    Al-Otaishan mentioned that the construction section is considered one of the most important development sectors in the kingdom. It is considered the bone of many economic sectors and it is in itself an independent sector. The intertwined relation between this sector and the rest of the sectors means imposes its strategic role to the national economy, the economic development and employment. He mentioned that the forum aimed to focus on some strategic goals. On top of which is the importance of development projects and its role in the economic development. Also, to review the most prominent and successful experiences of companies that have introduced successful projects, as well as to examine the best means and to overcome any future problems. He said that many factors could affect the development projects in Saudi negatively. We can outline them as four main reasons: the organizational side (bidding and governmental expenditure), business owners, business executors (contractors), and the workforce.  The forum would discuss the ways to overcome the difficulties that development projects might face by reviewing many approaches to overcoming such issues.  
     
    The Saudi electricity company and the railroads company review the most important projects to the economic development
     
    The eastern region emana, Saudi Aramco, the royal commission in Jubail, Saudi electricity company, and the Saudi railroad company will review their experiences as part of "development projects, realities, and aspirations."  Forum. This participation is a part of the forum's scientific program. 
      
    The forum's events will commence at 9:45 am with the main session, which will start with a speech from Abdulrahman bin Saleh AlOtaishan, chairman of Asharqia chamber of commerce, followed by a speech by eng Abdullatif bin Abdulamalik AlShaikh, minister of municipal and rural affairs, and them the crown prince Saudi bin Nayef, eastern region governor.  
    The first session will commence on 10:30 am. It will be titled "development projects failures: reasons and solutions." Eng Fahad mohammed AlJubair, the eastern region mayor will introduce a paper titled  " the reality of the development projects in the eastern region."  Mohammed Al-Haddad, the president of The Saudi Building Code National Committee will present a paper titled " the Saudi building code and its rule in development projects." The session will conclude with Abdulhakim Alammar, board member and president of the contractor committee. He will present a paper titled "best solutions to overcome the reasons for projects failures." Eng ahmed AlSuwaidan will be directing the session and all the discussions.
     
    The second session is titled " successful stories in development projects." It will be directed by Dr Sami Alkayaat and will commence at 12:15 in the afternoon. Eng. Ziyad Bin Mohammed Al-Shiha, the CEO in Saudi electricity company, will represent a paper that discusses the opportunities and challenges any development project can face. It will also include the company's experience in the development projects Dr.Musleh Al-Otaibi, Chief Executive of Royal Commission will also present a paper about the commission's experience in the same domain as well. Motaz bin Abdulaziz Al-Mashouq, the executive director of the general and infrastructure projects in Aramco would speak about the company's experience in managing development projects as well as the exceptional standards that were followed to achieve these great useful results.
     
    The third and last session will conclude the scientific program . it will be titled "the importance of development projects and its rule in the economic development." It will commence on 1.35 pm and it will include two papers. The firs one presented by bashar bin khalid almalik, the projects management director in the Saudi railroad company.  The second one will be presented by ali bin shah, the excutive manager of the Construction Industry Institute IN KFUPM. Eng hani bn Mubarak alqahtani, the projects management director in the Saudi railroad company will present a paper titled " the contribution of the infrastructure projects in pushing the economy." Dr Bassam bin mohammed bodai will be directing this session.
     

    The Kingdom is witnessing a 2 trillion riyal development projects
     
    Saudi Arabia is witnessing many development projects according to the ninth development plan from 2010 until 2014. The allocated budget for these projects is approximately two trillion riyal. Many projects had already been initiated and established, amongst which are infrastructure projects, and projects in the various service and production sectors.
    The expenditure approved in the government budget for 2014 was around 855 billion riyal, which is a new record and indicates the government's commitment to its development program to improve the infrastructure and construction as well as fuel the economic development and accommodate the escalating growth in population. The latest budget, which is approximately 248 billion riyal, included additional construction projects and programs, as well some further stages for approved established projects.
